Special visitors in Room 12
Vincent, the farmer, very kindly brought in two lambs into Room 12 for a visit! The children got to pet and feed the lively lambs. The children knew all about lambs after having spent Spring learning about new life.
Community Games
Well done to all the children who took part in the Community Games races last week. Congratulations to the winners! Our next Usain Bolt and Mo Farrah!!
Fruit tasting
We are reading Handa’s Surprise at the moment. In the story, Handa brings seven delicious fruits to her friend Akeyo; pineapple, mango, orange, guava, banana, passion fruit and avocado. Ask us about the surprise! We examined the fruit and then tasted it all. The class’ favourite fruit was orange.
Ellen’s Google Adventure
Ellen went to Google HQ yesterday for the prize giving ceremony for Doodle4Google. The competition was won by Kelly McCabe (8) from Dublin. It must’ve been so difficult to pick a winner from the 75 finalists as all the artwork was so amazing. Scoil Mhuire and Room 12 are so proud of Ellen for getting so far in the competition.
