September Welcome!
Scoil Mhuire Junior welcomes everyone – new and old – back to school Thursday 1st September 2016!
We look forward to seeing you all for the start of the new school year. Our school office opens Tuesday 30th August with Noreen and Margaret at the helm .
SEPTEMBER
Parents : Please have a face cloth in your child’s school bag every day – they need it to dry their hands . In recent years schools were advised on health grounds that children using one class towel was not good hygiene. Let’s try to keep the bugs at bay this coming winter 🙂

Video Nest Watch – you gotta see this !
Room 2 were watching some amazing nest watch video clips today. Do take a look , it is wonderful to be able to see these. The children have this as their homework ! and I have asked them to show Grans and Grandads too !

Room 2 and the bodhrans !!
We are learning to play the bodhrans this week, a little each day ! It is fantastic fun – for the adults too 😊. How lucky are we. Ask them about it. Thanks Ms Leddy also for your musical help !

An unusual orange !
Look at this orange that Abbey got in her lunch !
It certainly came from a tree . Oranges grow in Spain and other hot countries.
