Special Visitors….. BAAAAAH
There was great excitement today in room 11, we had a special visit from a local farmer and his two lambs. We all got a turn petting the lambs, they even tried to eat some string from the art area. 🙂 🙂
Last week we learned all about the farm and the animals that are born in spring. We knew the lambs were coming so we made a picture for the lambs using pegs and peg boards.
The Golden Chair
We got a big suprise this Monday when we came into class, we found a golden chair and a note from Tonks, our classroom fairy.
She painted one of our regular classroom chairs gold with her teeny tiny paintbrush (it took her a really long time!) If you look closely the chair also sparkles… that’s because she used some magic fairy dust to make it extra comfortable.
If there is a boy or a girl who is being very good at keeping their hands and feet to themselves they get to sit in the extra comfy chair for a WHOLE day!
5 Minutes Peace
We read a story called ‘5 Minutes Peace’, where poor Mummy Elephant just wanted 5 minutes of peace and quiet. However, her little baby elephants had other ideas!
We had a look at the pictures, and recreated them by making ‘freeze frames’ in drama. They are difficult because you have to stand really still!
Two lambs came to visit!
Farmer Vincent brought two lambs to visit us today. One ram and one ewe. They were only 6 days old 🙂
